The construction of the MV Phoenix began in February 2010, then she was launched for her first cruise in September 2010. She is a very large 25 meters lenght x 6 meters width wooden dive boat which welcomes up to 24 divers.
Hers electronics components of navigation are composed of a GPS, Sounders, as well as radar for navigations of night. The communication is insured by systems of radio CB and CCTV Telephone Pharmacy, Oxygen and Medic first aid kit, life jackets, fire extinguishers are available on board.
This boat offers 3 diving destinations in Andaman Sea She Starts the season in September with 4D/4N cruises at Hin Daeng, Hin Muang, Phi Phi, then follow up in november in Koh Similan, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai & Richelieu Rock, and during may, she sails south to the national park of Tarutao, for liveaboard of 5D/5N.
You have the choice with two kind of cabins, all located on the main deck :
All cabins have air conditioning, large porthole and some storage for your personal belongings. They shared 3 bathrooms with hot water on the same deck.
At the stern of this deck, is the galley and the dive platform. This is a double entry/exit dive station, with plenty room to gear up and two fresh water showers. We count 30 Aluminiumtanks(12 ltr/80cft) on board . A semi-rigid dinghy is also present for sure recoveries at the exit of the drifts dives.
The upper deck supports the open air shadowed saloon, meeting place for dive briefing, meals and chilling moments, it's equipped with a large plasma TV screen where you can relax watching. Then one finds crew cabins and the wheelhouse. A stair takes you up to the sun deck.
The crew on board is thai except the Tour Leader who is European and multilingual. The dive ratio is 4:1 so you can enjoy relax non crowded dives.
This is a good boat, simple and practical and good value money and she's the perfect fit for family or friend's group !
